Mykenzie has been home since December 30, 2011. She is doing great. We have been the pediatrician twice and the cardiologist. She is growing the way she is suppose to. We went to the pediatrician on Monday, January 9, 2012 and she weighed 8lbs 14oz.
The cardiologist said she will probably need one more surgery, but as of right now we haven't been told when that will happen. She will need to have her aorta valve and mitra valve repaired. Both cardiologist and surgeon are hoping the valves grow with her heart. She came home on one medication and the doctors increase the dose as she gains weight. The medication keeps her from having SVTs.
We treat her like a normal healthy baby girl. She is eating good and sleeping good. She gets up twice throughout the night. I want to thank every one who continues to follow her story.
We still need prayers.

Mykenzie is 4 months old and doing great. She went to the cardiologist last week and he is talking about taking her off her heart medicine. I'm a little worried that something will go wrong but if she is progressing the way she should I don't want her to take something she doesn't need.
ReplyDeleteShe is 14 pounds 4 ounces and 25 &1/2 inches. She has continued to show her strength. I am so happy she is strong and healthy considering she has a bad heart.
